Perjury or False Accusation top contributing cause.

According to the National Registry of Exonerations, this is the leading cause that contributes to wrongful convictions. The staggering statistic nationwide of 59% of exonerated individuals were wrongly convicted due to perjury or false accusation is SADLY eclipsed by the statistic in Missouri. In the State where Maurice sits in prison and wrongfully convicted, 33 of the 53 people exonerated since 1989 had been convicted based upon perjury or false accusation, which is over 62%.
